I Sound LIke A Screaming Cat when I Sing!

I was asked today if anyone could sing. And the answer is yes...they can. But it depends what they want to sing and how much they want to sing. A very nice man said to me...i sound like a drowned cat screaming and people run from the room at the sound of my voice. I asked him how much he wanted to sing and where he would like his singing to go if he could. He told me that he didn't really care and mostly enjoyed singing at football games with a beer in hand.

I told him that without the will, drive and determination he would not be able to improve on his singing. I also told him that being able to sing doesn't mean that you have to sound like a diva or idol. You might want to sing musical theatre, cabaret, heavy metal, rock, pop and so the list goes on. All of these require a different voice...a unique sound.

So, just because your voice may not be as smooth as silk doesn't mean you can't sing. It just means that you have to find where your voice suits best.

Cheers, Jewels

You Don't Need to Spend loads of Money to Learn How To Sing

There are so many singing websites out there that are charging loads of money for you to buy lessons. When the truth of the matter is, you don't need to spend loads of money to learn to sing! You can already sing...we can all sing...all you need is some direction and practice, practice, practice.

Where do you get this practice? You need some simple tools and some advice. The best way to learn singing is to get a mentor and follow their lead. Talk to other singers. Hang out with singers. Sing in the shower, sing washing dishes, sing mowing the lawn, sing at work, sing, sing , sing. YOu need to become a singer.

Think about who you are today. Are you a builder? Are you a student? Are you a doctor? Are you a mother? These are the things that you are and that you do. To become a singer, you need to place as much importance on singing as you would to any of the other things in your life.

If you need help on pitch, a couple of lessons on scales that you consistently practice will help you overcome your pitch problems. If you feel you don;t get enough breath and your voice is not string enough, some exercises on breathing will help you.

YOU DON'T NEED TO FILL IN WORKBOOKS AND SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!!! Many singing companies will have you believe that you do. You do NOT! At www.singingforbeginners.com you can pick up a small package that will give you the tools you need to get singing and it is only $9.95! It also comes with a money back guarantee...providing you practice everyday of course...and it is only a limited offer.

You also get free membership that sends you tips, hints and interviews each week and you can send in a demo of your voice to be critiqued by producers of Music and Lyrics Studio.

So don't waste your money on massive packages when you don't need to. Get some exercises for www.singingforbeginners.com and get well on your way to realising your singing dreams!
